“Love, Simon”: The First Look at 2018’s Gay Romance

The John Hughes-esque movie comes out in March 2018

Next March, 20th Century Fox will release Love, Simon, the big-screen adaptation of Becky Albertalli’s award winning YA novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, a romantic dramedy with a gay twist.

Love, Simon follows a 16-year-old closeted gay student (played by Jurassic World’s Nick Robinson) who is dealing with his secret being exposed after one of his personal emails falls into the wrong hands.

The movie was directed by Greg Berlanti, the creative force behind immensely popular TV shows like Riverdale, The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl, who is openly gay and married to retired soccer star Robbie Rogers.

Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who co-exec produce the smash NBC show This Is Us, wrote the script. The movie also stars Jennifer Garner, Josh Duhamel, Spider-Man Homecoming‘s Jorge Lendeborg Jr., X-Men: Apocalypse‘s Alexandra Shipp and Katherine Langford, the star of the groundbreaking and controversial Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
