Imagine Dragons lead singer Dan Reynolds was the recipient of the Trevor Project Hero Award on June 19th. He took this opportunity to express his regret at teaching anti-LGBT messages during his time as a young adult in the Mormon church. During his time as a missionary for the church, Reynolds spent much of his time knocking on thousands of doors spreading the message that “if you are gay and acting upon it, that is sinful.” (Billboard)

At the TrevorLIVE benefit, Reynolds confessed, “I wish I could re-knock on all those doors and tell them I was wrong.”
